Linux Gazette Carries Article About Merchant EmpiresFrom the Webpage:
The Mid-February issue of the Linux Gazette carried an article by Bryan Brunton, the creator/developer of Merchant Empires, a web version of Trade Wars 2002. The article, written in the form of an interview, tells how Brunton was inspired by Space Merchant to create Merchant Empires as a Open Source project. It also relates why Brunton refuses to run any banner ads on his game and his plans for the future of his non-profit game. All in all, a pretty informative article.

There are 2 versions of Merchant Empires, Brunton's at http://www.merchantempires.net & a later version based on Brunton's original at http://www.merchant-empires.com As it happens, only the Brunton version is listed here at the MPOGD.

Note: This may seem like an awfully dated news story, but it was was not reported here when it would have been more current & there has not been much else to report about here lately, so it seemed like a good time to post it.
